Appointments
Patients are seen at scheduled appointment times. All new patients are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to their first visit to complete the necessary information gathering before their scheduled appointment time. It is important for you to be on time for your visit or contact our office as soon as possible before your appointment if you are unable to keep the prearranged time. We have a cancellation list that consists of patients that would like to be seen sooner than their scheduled appointment time. We actively use this list to accommodate our patient’s needs. If you are more than 15 minutes late we will need to re-schedule your appointment.

Payment Options
Dr. Davidson is contracted with most of the major insurance carriers in Tomball Texas. We will bill all insurance carriers for services rendered, but we ask that all co-payments and applied deductibles be paid at the time of service. Payment is required at the time service is rendered for all private pay individuals unless otherwise arranged with the office administrator. We Accept Master Card, VISA, Discover, checks and cash as payment for services rendered. We accept Care Credit for payment with uninsured patients only.

Please allow 48 hours for all refill’s. If you require a new prescription, please contact the nurse. Any refill request called in on a Friday may not be refilled until Monday. We will make every attempt to complete all requests before we leave for the weekend, so please call early. Any refill request received after 12:30 pm on Friday’s, may not be refilled until Monday.

Obstetrics and Insurance
After your first visit to the office, we verify your insurance benefits and pre-authorize your global obstetrical care, if required. Dr. Davidson is required to wait until the delivery of your child to bill your insurance company for the routine office visits and delivery of your child. We bill out all procedures and non-routine visits on the day they are performed. We ask that all co-pays, patient portions and deductibles be paid by the 26th week of pregnancy. If you have a Health Fund associated with your Insurance, please notify the office in advance.

If your insurance changes during your pregnancy, please notify the office as soon as possible. We may not be providers for your new insurance OR we may not be able to continue care due to your new insurance. This is handled on a case by case issue. If your insurance can not be verified or is canceled for any reason, you will be responsible for payment of services at the time you are seen. If you’re insurance changes, and you do not inform the office in a timely fashion (5 business days), you may be asked to find another physician to complete your care.

All patients changing from traditional PPO and HMO insurance to Medicaid or adding Medicaid as a secondary insurance need to be informed that Dr. Davidson sees a limited amount of Medicaid each month. You may be asked to find a different physician to assume your care. We regret to take such severe actions. In the past we have had trouble and need to stress the importance of informing the office of any and all changes to your insurance. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office administrator.
